8 lugs, 6-7mm shell wall with sculpted reinforcement rings. Immense power, very full and extremely clean with well rounded controlled overtones. In this size, you got it covered from Fusion to Heavy Metal. A highly versatile recording or concert snare.
14” x 5”
8 lugs, 6-7mm shell wall with sculpted reinforcement rings. Very fast response with tremendous cutting power. The shorter shell does not lessen the ability of this drum to provide a huge amount of FAT and rich warm tones. Extremely well suited to Rock ‘n roll, Jazz and Reggae.

8 lugs, 6-7mm shell wall with sculpted reinforcement rings. Developed in 2011, this snare offers a slight variation on the 14”x5” Blackwood stave. As with the 5” deep shell, this is a fast snare with a broad tuning range, tremendous cutting power and a powerful mid range punch at high tensions. The slightly deeper shell of 5.5” is best described as the difference between a 5A and a 5B stick: a little more weight on the stick, a bit more ‘grunt’ under heavier playing. Extremely well suited to Funk, Jazz and Reggae.

A wider diameter snare to access even lower notes whilst maintaining capacity for a taut and broad tuning range.
The short depth shell delivers a super fast response off the snare side head for highly articulate playing. This is a very FAT snare drum with enormous presence. Suitable for all styles of music and outstanding with brushes.
This snare is available with steel hoops only.

This drum begs the question: why haven’t these dimensions become standard in snare drums? We all know that bringing the right tools with you is half the battle. So here at last, is a versatile and dynamic snare drum which excels across a wide tuning range and always with a ton of FAT.

Another powerful and legitimate addition to our 13” snare range. This time the focus is overwhelmingly on attack with warmth and punch.
Blackwood guarantees warm tones and a clear musical voice whilst the reduced diameter and shell depth provide sharp cut and a fast articulate snare response.
More compressed and at a tighter tuning more penetrating than a 14” snare, at very low tensions this snare is deep and FAT whilst maintaining excellent stick bounce.
With its wide tuning range and strength of attack, this versatile snare will suit all genres.

With the luxury of hindsight, the Fidock “Bebop” is a uniquely contemporary approach in the tradition of the great drums of the past!
Using only native Australian Blackwood for its incredible tone and resonance, each stave drum is hand carved including sculpted reinforcement rings. Steam bent solid wooden hoops (also Blackwood) add to the depth and warmth of these incredibly thin shells.
Versatility is the key! Play it soft, play it loud, the "Fidock Bebop" is a well balanced instrument with a clear rich tone and beautiful sustain. With all the top and bottom end you could dream of, these drums come together with a soulful coherent voice.

Built specifically for the studio, this 5 piece kit is entirely handcrafted from select tonal Blackwood.
Each drum, including the bass drum, has reinforcement rings sculpted into the shell.
This feature not only adds focus, warmth and depth across the entire drum set, but eliminates the need for external dampening.
This also allows us to lathe the shells to the optimum thickness for maximum volume and tone.
As a result, shell thickness is varied across the kit for a perfectly balanced ensemble.
We have kept our unique steam bent hoops sitting low on the skin across the entire drum set for smoother access to the playing surface and a more efficient playing motion (kits are also available with triple flange or diecast steel hoops).
The shells are free of mounting blocks.

Fidock wood hoops are made from the same tonal timber as our shells. They are exceptionally strong and resonant and matched to our stave shell deliver the full potential and unique character of our snare drums by enhancing the tone of the shell.
Each hoop is made up of 2 lengths of solid timber. These are steambent and finger joined.
With only 2 joins, our hoops are exceptionally strong. Even at very high tensions, they will provide consistent and reliable tunings.
The hoops are cut and drilled by CnC to accommodate any shell or hoop of the same lug numbers.
Each hoop is hand finished and rigorously tested for strength and integrity.
Being solid timber, our hoops deliver a loud, tonal click and a fuller rim-shot with plenty of cut and fat.
Another dynamic feature of our hoops is a slightly lower elevation. This provides greater dexterity for stick and brushwork and smoother access to the playing surface
