FHD RETURNS TO MUSIKMESSE 2009
We are most pleased to announce that we will again be on show at Musikmesse 2009 (April 1 – 4).
Following on from a tremendous launch in the USA (LA and New York) we return to Europe to again present our unique Blackwood solid timber stave drums and hoops.
We will also feature a select range of steambent solid timber snares and premiere a 4 piece from our line of New York inspired Bebop drum kits (watch this space for photos and specs).
In keeping with our focus on sustainable growth we will bring only native Australian solid timber drums.
Paiste will again be complimenting an FHD drumset with their remarkable product. The 4 piece Bebop Blackwood Kit on show will feature cymbals from the sensational Paiste Signature series. Warm thanks to Andrew Sheve and Paiste cymbals for supporting us at NAMM and for continuing to do so at Musikmesse.

Full steam ahead… NAMM 2009!
What a year it has been… 2 trips to Europe, a growing list of stockists and customers and an incredible response to the Fidock Session Kit.
At the end of 2008, we are ‘pleased and proud’ that Fidock stave snares and session kits are now dotted around the globe in the hands of drummers and hard at work in leading recording studios.
But there’s room for just a bit more before the year is out...
Watch this space for a new line of snare drums to be released very soon.
The timber is Australian, tonal and highly resonant… and very special.
And of course, if you are going to NAMM.. drop in and say hello and check out the drums (more on that very soon).

FHD Session Drum Kit
Built specifically for the studio, this 5 piece kit is entirely handcrafted from select tonal Blackwood.
The kit also features our unique solid timber steam bent hoops.
As with our snare drums, the kit is all stave shell, cut thin.
The result... RICH, WARM and very FAT!
Fidock Handcrafted Drums launches in Europe
FHD’s snare range was launched into Europe in March at the Musikmesse expo in Frankfurt.
Musikmesse is the largest music expo in the world with an entire hall devoted solely to acoustic drums and percussion instruments from around the globe. FHD was in good company and we were delighted to meet custom drum makers and drummers who like us are expressing their enormous passion and talent through their drums: Ron Dunnett from Dunnett Drums; the legendary Johnny Craviotto of Craviotto Drums (''we dig your vibe ' too man!), the Lauper clan from Lauper Drums (Switzerland), Tempus Drums, Pork Pie and many others.
The expo showed that custom built drums are making a big come back with many drummers looking for an individual and sophisticated sound, particularly from their primary instrument that is: THE SNARE DRUM.
We had a ball and a huge thank you and bravo to Musikmesse who were so supportive of us from day one of our preparations for the show. We will be back in 2009 with our stave snares and the session stave kit which we are working on as we speak.
Following our launch in Europe, FHD is building up a strong set of quality stockists with more to be added regularly.
Salon de la Musique et du son, Paris
FHD will be presenting our first session kit at the Batteur stand at the Salon de la Musique et du son from 12 to 15 September at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles Hall 4.

Fidock Handcrafted Drums Joins NAMM
We are pleased to announce that we have become members of NAMM. We will be showing our drums at the NAMM 2009 Expo. The show is held in Anaheim, California between 15 January and 18 January 2009.

Another great drummer joins the FHD team
FHD welcomes Johnny Fiorillo on board. Johnny is a well respected session player in Europe and has had a serious professional career in England, Europe and the USA. He is currently working on an instructional DVD with assistance and support from Peter Erskine and Dom Famularo.
Johnny also teaches the Moeller technique at the Freestroke drum school in Florence, Italy.
Good on you Johnny!
